Parts
Pick your voicing below and you'll get the complete parts list for that build — the shared body and hardware plus the electronics that voicing needs — so you can order everything in one pass. I only list voicings I've fully speced; the ones still in the lab aren't here yet.
Items marked Specific mean that exact part. Flexible items list a real alternative and the tradeoff.
Body Construction
PET-CF Filament
SpecificQuantity: 2 one-kilogram spools
Two kilograms of filament are required for a complete body. PET-CF is preferred for ease of use, dimensional stability, and material strength.
G/Flex 650 Epoxy
SpecificQuantity: 1 kit
A flexible marine-grade epoxy that handles vibration and stress without cracking. One kit has enough epoxy for multiple Relay bodies.
Guitar Hardware
Guitar Neck
FlexibleQuantity: 1
Necks with identical listed specs can vary meaningfully. Budget time for fitting and check compatibility before ordering.
Fixed Hardtail Bridge
SpecificQuantity: 1
The Relay body is designed around a fixed string-through hardtail bridge. Tremolo bridges are not compatible with the current body.
Neck Mounting Ferrules
SpecificQuantity: 1 set
These press into the back of the body and receive the neck bolts. Install them after confirming neck alignment because they are permanent.
String Ferrule Plate
FlexibleQuantity: 1
The string ferrules anchor the strings through the back of the body.
Locking Tuners
FlexibleQuantity: 1 six-in-line set
Locking tuners make restringing faster and improve tuning stability while the setup is being dialed in.
Strap Buttons
FlexibleQuantity: 1 pair
Relay uses standard strap button mounting locations.
Guitar Strings, 9-42
FlexibleQuantity: 3 packs
Three packs are recommended because setup work can sacrifice a string or two.
Backplate Screws
FlexibleQuantity: 1 set
These secure the rear cavity cover after electronics installation.
Truss Rod Cover Screws
FlexibleQuantity: 1 set
These secure the truss rod cover on the headstock.
Knobs
FlexibleQuantity: 1 set
Knob fit depends on the pots selected for the model.
Electronics
Neck Humbucker, GFS Vintage 59 Alnico V
SpecificQuantity: 1
The neck needs to stay open and readable. A soft, dark neck pickup closes down positions 4 and 5 too much and pulls Arc away from its spatial clean behavior.
Middle Humbucker, GFS Dream 180
SpecificQuantity: 1
The defining Arc pickup. It provides the chime and width that make position 3 and the combined positions feel separated instead of thick.
Bridge Filtertron-style, GFS Retrotron Liverpool
SpecificQuantity: 1
Arc wants bridge clarity, not grind. The Liverpool keeps the attack articulate so position 1 stays bright and position 2 remains spacious instead of congested.
Volume Pot, 500k Audio Taper
FlexibleQuantity: 1
Standard 500k audio taper pot for the volume control on the 5-way Relay voicings (Velvet, Torch, Arc). No switching function is required on the volume side.
Tone Pot, 500k Push-Pull
SpecificQuantity: 1
The push-pull switch engages the voicing's alternate contour — each 5-way voicing's wiring guide shows exactly what the pull position does.
Selector Switch, 5-way Blade
SpecificQuantity: 1
Must be a 5-way blade — do not substitute a 3-way. The middle pickup is a main selector destination on these voicings, and positions 2 and 4 are active combined positions. Verify the listing says 5-way before ordering.
Tone Capacitor
FlexibleQuantity: 1
The listed value gives a warm but not muddy roll-off for the Relay Lipstick reference circuit.
Output Jack
FlexibleQuantity: 1
The listed part is a Switchcraft-style jack that fits the Relay body cavity.
Hookup Wire
FlexibleQuantity: 1 spool or assortment
Used for control-cavity wiring and ground connections.
Copper Foil Tape
SpecificQuantity: 1 roll
Used to shield the control cavity. Conductive adhesive is required so overlapping pieces maintain electrical continuity.
Fit-sensitive parts still need compatibility checks before purchase — the item notes above call out the constraints that matter. When a dimension or substitution is in doubt, ask in Discord before ordering.
